Dr. Gerwig was born and raised in the Chicago area where he was involved in various sports. As a teenager, Dr. Dan developed severe knee problems. After seeing many physicians, a chiropractor was the first doctor who was able to explain his problem in a way that made sense. Chiropractic treatments helped in a way no other physician had. This sparked his desire to help people through chiropractic care and physical medicine. Because of his experience as a youngster, he continues to be active and enjoys being able to experience life without limitations.

Dr. Gerwig practices physical medicine. He looks for something that is not working and creates a plan to restore function, thus allowing the patient to maintain the lifestyle they desire. Dr. Gerwig uses the latest technology and diversified advanced techniques to produce these changes. He prides himself on his communication and feels the most important part of a proper treatment plan is establishing goals early. He develops a plan that works for individual patient to achieve those results.

Once the goals are reached, he designs a plan for the patient to keep those changes for the long haul. He has seen phenomenal results by using gentle chiropractic care, physical therapy, massage therapy and counseling.
